My name is Bethany, and what I jokingly call Martian Movies are the movies that I watched, enjoy, and celebrate for multiple reasons. I will be talking about old movies, new movies, bad ones, good ones, ones you may not have ever seen or heard of, ones you may have heard of, and more so.
My criteria for movies are not the same as certain movie critics, I believe that most movies require a suspension of belief and that you can have fun watching a movie that's hysterically inaccurate. My future posts and reviews will reflect this, but I will be careful to define the difference between a 'good' movie and a 'fun' movie.
I don't know if I'm going to assign a 'points' system just yet, since the reason I might assign a score vary from movie to movie. I'm still feeling this out, and may later settle on something, but I have no wish to dedicate myself to a system because everyone else does it.
As a note- I may occasionally describe certain movies as family friendly in a generic sense (more referring to genre), and this is never an endorsement. What I consider family friendly someone else may regard as extremely inappropriate for their family. I find that this varies on family to family, and that the best person to judge this is you.
With that said, I hope that I can provide some good entertaining and USEFUL information.
